Y5 Viking Afternoon

On the last day of the half-term, the year 5 children enjoyed a Viking afternoon.

After spending 6 weeks learning about them in their topic lessons, they were very happy to experience different kinds of activities.

They had the opportunity to discover Mölkki, a Finnish game inspired from kyykka (an ancient Viking game), to draw Saxon illuminated letters  and to draw themselves as Vikings with a helmet and a weapon.

“I loved the day because we have been able to do Viking’s letters” Angel

“I really loved the afternoon because we got to do very fun activities” Isabella
