Scientific Year 3

Year 3 were extremely lucky to have a STEM workshop focusing on animation.

The children worked in groups to develop characters, settings and storyboards to create a short animated film.  The characters were created out of playdough and the setting using a range of artistic resources. The children worked collaboratively to develop a plot and storyline for their films and had the opportunity to use film equipment and cameras to photograph each movement their character made and sequence them into a short film.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and were very enthusiastic about the whole process. They worked extremely hard on their films and the STEM facilitators commented on how well behaved, focused and talented the children were.
