Basketball Heroes

Both the boys and girls basketball teams enjoyed some competitive action recently at the annual Crawley Storm basketball competitions.

A relatively inexperienced girls team came away with an impressive two wins from four matches. Sadly, despite a great effort from all involved, they did not progress beyond the group stage. The boys, however, enjoyed slightly more success. Four straight victories (against Seymour, St Francis, Maidenbower and The Mill) saw them top their group to set up a semi-final showdown with Gossops Green. Unfortunately, a place in the final wasn't to be: as Gossops Green claimed a deserved victory. The third place play off with St Margaret's was a tight affair, but the boys battled to a 6-5 victory. This confirmed a third place finish out of the sixteen schools that started the competition.

A great effort boys. Well done!
